Prince Edward County Public Schools (PECPS) proudly recognizes Lorraine Ross, Robert Wesley, and Moses Ford, who were nominated by members of the division’s Transportation Department for the Lucian Hunter Foundation of Hope VA Stellar Bus Driver Award.
Donte’ Smithson, PECPS Supervisor of Transportation, accompanied the honorees to the award luncheon in Richmond, Virginia, where school divisions from across the Commonwealth gathered to recognize the dedication and contributions of school bus drivers.
PECPS bus drivers play an essential role in the daily lives of students and families. Beyond transporting students to and from school, they help keep our Eagles safe and provide a welcoming, familiar presence at the beginning and end of each school day.
Superintendent Dr. Chip Jones praised the honorees for their commitment to students and the school community.
“Mrs. Ross, Mr. Wesley, and Mr. Ford represent the very best of PECPS. I am proud of their dedication to our students and grateful to our transportation team for recognizing their hard work,” said Dr. Jones.
PECPS congratulates Mrs. Ross, Mr. Wesley, and Mr. Ford on this well-deserved recognition and extends its sincere appreciation to all division bus drivers for their dedication to the safety and success of our Eagles.
