Prince Edward County Public Schools (PECPS) is proud to announce the 2025 Teachers of the Year, celebrating outstanding educators who have demonstrated excellence in teaching and a commitment to student success. This prestigious recognition honors the exceptional work and dedication of the following teachers:
Elementary School: Toni Baker β Adaptive Teacher
Middle School: Louis Gould β 7th Grade History Teacher
High School (Tied Winners): Eileen Ryan β English Teacher and
Pathravuong Vorn β Mathematics Teacher
Each of these teachers has gone above and beyond in their roles, making a significant impact on their students, colleagues, and the entire PECPS community.

Mrs. Clark-Reed, Principal of PECMS, added, "The middle school is proud to recognize Mr. Louis Gould, III as this yearβs Teacher of the Year. Mr. G is an invaluable member of our school community, taking on numerous roles and responsibilities. He is deeply respected and admired by both his colleagues and students for his dedication, passion, and commitment. Beyond the classroom, Mr. Gould makes a lasting impact, consistently touching the lives of his students and fostering an environment of growth and support."
Mrs. McQuaige-Hicks expressed her pride in PECHSβ Teacher of the Year recipients, stating, "Mrs. Eileen Ryan and Mr. Pathravuong Vorn truly exhibit passion, commitment, and dedication daily when teaching our students. They are an inspiration to all of us, and we are so fortunate to have them in our Eagle family."
The entire Eagle family is incredibly proud of these educators and the enthusiasm they bring to the classroom! We are also thrilled to announce that Eileen Ryan has been selected as the Division-Wide Teacher of the Year! This additional honor promotes her to compete to become State Teacher of the Year for 2026.
